Eye location
Hello! Regarding the Location of the Eye and how the Nomai were trying to find it I would like to gather more thoughts on the topic on if the Eye is behaving in a similar "jumpy" manner like it's shards or not.
The popular believe is that it is behaving identical, jumping around it's orbit in random locations but logically this doesn't make much sense.
In one of the many reddit posts of r/outerwilds it was suggested in a discussion between u/SpentaMainyu and u/NoNameIsAvailable1 that it would not be necessary to shoot the probe into more directions than one if the Eye was in fact moving like a Quantum Shard. We also know that a quantum object in flux needs a conscious observer to collapse it's state into a stable form. It is not known if the probe would count as such. Further does no text in the game imply a jumping/changing nature of the location. Every other text about shards and the moon does, but not the for the Eye.
What are your takes on this and can anyone provide more information about this?

- I agree that the Eye has a fixed location. The Nomai in the Southern Observatory say this:
- "Based on our knowledge of the Quantum Moon, we believe the Eye is in orbit around this star system’s sun. This would mean the Eye is located within a finite (albeit enormous) range."
- "We know what the Eye looks like thanks to the Quantum Moon, so what if we try to find the Eye visually, instead? Let’s send out a probe!"
- Since they believed the Eye could be found by a probe and that it is in orbit around the sun, they must have thought that the Eye had a fixed location. Otherwise, as you already mentioned, sending a probe would not have worked to find the Eye. The coordinates would also be pointless to obtain if the Eye kept moving around because then it would be possible for the Eye not to be in that location.
- A thing about the surface of the Eye is that it does have quantum properties. Just like on the Quantum Moon, things keep moving around on the surface depending on whether they're observed. However, this is probably not the case for the entire Eye itself. If that were true, then looking away while on the Vessel should cause the Eye to disappear. This is what happens with the Quantum Moon and the reason we need to learn quantum rules. But the Eye of the Universe remains stationary no matter whether we look away.
- In summary: the Eye of the Universe is not like the Quantum Moon. While the Quantum Moon moves around, just like its shards do, the Eye of the Universe is stationary, just too far away for the Nomai to find without a probe and not visible to them.

If this is true, how do you explain the Brittle Hollow signal tracker locating the signal in multiple locations far outside the solar system?
