The Signalscope

The Signalscope is one of the usefull instruments that come with the heatians utility belt. A mix of a telescope and a signal reciever, it has a flexible ampliation capability, that can range from none to 7x, and a even better signal reception beeing able to listen frequencies from any place on the solar system.

The signal reciever

Coming out of the box with a listening frequency (Outer Wilds Ventures) it has the capability of pointing sources of it, naming them if discovered what is producing the waves and even learning new frequencies if close to the targeted source. Taking advantage of the telescope's increase it can go from a wider reception to a very specific, making possible to pin out not only in which but where on the planet it is beeing originated. Another feature of the reciever is that waves from a simillar frequency can be superposed if 'seen' at the same time, making as if the diferent sources were one.

The telescope

As said the telescope function has the aspect of making too the signal reciever more focused to where it is aimed, one thing to point is that when used, you cannot move, unless something else moves you or you are already moving (falling or in orbit, not by walking).

• By using the learnForgetFrequencies cheat of TaiCheats, what appears to be an unused fifth frequency becomes available. White Hole. Its purpose is unknown and does not seem to respond at any point in the game, even when being pointed at the eponymous spacial phenomena.

• If two or more sources of a broadcast are aligned in a cone with the player, it is possible to hear both superposed. This makes it possible to hear all Travelers instruments by listening to the Outer Wilds Ventures frequency far away from the Solar system. Doing so will grant an Achievement.
