Secca was a Nomai from the Vessel. When the Vessel crashed on Dark Bramble, they were in Escape Pod 3 alongside Escall, Din, and several other Nomai.
Escape Pod 3[]
Escape Pod 3 crashed inside Dark Bramble, which destroyed its communication and navigation capabilities.[1] Secca left a recording where they explained that since their supply of air was nearly depleted and the Anglerfish attacks came more and more frequently, they would return to the Vessel to either repair the damage or await rescue.[2]
After Din detected duplicate signals coming from the Vessel, Secca thought it was not possible for the Vessel to be in two different locations.[3] They also stressed that they were running out of time as the Vessel's beacon was fading.[4] Escall decided that they should go to the beacon whose source was closest to them.[5]
Fate[]
However, this signal led to a bramble seed, which was too small to fit in.[6] Secca noted that Dark Bramble seems to manipulate space itself, and how it was hard for them to be this close to the location of the Vessel, but unable to reach it.[7] They hoped that perhaps they could still find a way inside, or at least understand why this happened.[8] In Secca's last recording, they expressed their hope that other escape pods had reached relative safety.[9] Unfortunately, due to the lack of oxygen, Secca perished near the bramble seed with the rest of Escape Pod 3.
