Mods are fan coded additions to the game. They generally increase usability with the game by (for example) adding special controls, adding extra settings, or new content (including new planets, lore, etc).
These mods are available in the Outer Wilds Mods website, along with instructions on how to use them.
Along with mods for the official version of Outer Wilds, mods have been produced for the Alpha, as well. They are available only here.
