The Deep Space Satellite is a Hearthian probe used for mapping the Solar System.
Description[]
The satellite is in high polar orbit of the Sun, and would be hard to find if not for its red flashing light which is also visible on the map. It communicates with the Radio Tower on Timber Hearth. If it is crashed into using the Spaceship, the satellite will be destroyed, damage the ship's electronics, disable the map, and get the achievement "Silenced Cartographer". On the satellite is a screen showing its angle to the sun.
Purpose[]
The satellite is integral to finding The Stranger. To find it, it is necessary to be at the satellite when it orbits at an angle of 40˚ from the Sun. At this angle, the Stranger eclipses the Sun, making it possible to locate it more easily.
