|Location||Timber Hearth's Moon|
The Attlerock is the only natural satellite of Timber Hearth. It is almost entirely barren, the terrain mostly level except where it is pocked with deep craters. There are a few large craters with pieces of information in them, and the first Eye Signal Locator you will find in the game, along with being the first mention of the Eye of the Universe in Nomai texts.
The Lunar Outpost is where Esker lives, a small forested camp that used to serve as a pit-stop for Hearthians making their first space flight, in their space program's more turbulent days. Within the outpost resides Esker themself at their wooden lodge, a campfire where you can roast marshmallows, and trees to refill your oxygen supply.
Esker offers a few conversations, and admits to sometimes shooting little scouts at the village to feel less lonely. Within the outpost you'll also find three wooden platforms, the last of which contains Esker's notes on the various spacefaring Hearthian's instruments, this will help point you towards Riebeck and Feldspar.
The Lunar Lookout is located at the Attlerock's north pole, not far from the Lunar Outpost. It consists of a set of platforms set in the north pole crater, the last of which has a lamp and a notepad. This is where Esker used their signalscope to monitor the solar system, track the other travelers, and even spy on conversations down on Timber Hearth.
Eye Signal Locator
The Attlerock is home to the first, and most simple Eye Signal Locator, a large device the Nomai attempted to use to pinpoint the location of the Eye of the Universe. While the Locator is largely in ruins, it can still be operated. The Locator has four different settings, set to locate the Sun, Giant's Deep, Brittle Hollow, or the Eye of the Universe. Using the former three settings, the outer rings will successfully align with the Sun, Giant's Deep, or Brittle Hollow, and allow you to listen to their respective signals. However, if the Locator is set to align with the Eye of the Universe, it will rotate randomly and never settle on a location.
Large Impact Crater
There is a large impact crater on the dark side of the Attlerock, dotted with large shards of otherworldly ice. Within the crater itself near a shard can be found a lantern and some Hearthian tools, along with a recording from Chert.
The recording states Chert's hypothesis that a fifth ice planet used to exist in the solar system, before dramatically imploding due to the expansive growth of an infectious seed, becoming what is now known as Dark Bramble. They believe the crater was formed from a piece of the former planet, sent hurtling off upon Dark Bramble's implosion, crashing into the Attlerock, leaving residual chunks of ice. Chert also hypothesises that similar ice shards may be found throughout the solar system.

Eye signal tests
COLEUS: I was upstairs testing the Eye signal locator and it can hear and follow the signals from the sun, Giant’s Deep, and Brittle Hollow.
Building a new Eye signal locator
THATCH: Where should this new, more sophisticated locator be built? It may need to be larger than this Eye signal locator is.
Okay, wow. Wow. I’ve seen this ruin in other travelers’ pictures, but seeing it for myself…
It’s really old, isn’t it?
But wow, this is the coolest day of my life. ...Okay, um, time for some official notes!
So this is some kind of Nomai “locator.” It can point out the different planets - which is incredibly cool, by the way - but from what little I can understand of the writing here, I think it was built to try to find something specific?
I’m not sure. I also was able to translate something about the south pole of Brittle Hollow, so I’ll fly there to see if I can learn more.
Yep. Just gonna get back in the ol’ ship and take off. Totally safe... Mostly safe. Oh, stars above...

Chert's Research Notes
Chert’s Research Notes - property of Chert!
This is an old crater. The neat thing here is that the composition of the samples I took from the impact site matches the composition of the ice on the outskirts of Dark Bramble.
I’d posit the Attlerock was hit with a piece of the planet that used to be where Dark Bramble now lies.
To follow up on — maybe there are more fragments of the old planet Dark Bramble destroyed on other astral bodies in the solar system?
Esker’s Signalscope Log
Day 48: Still not picking up Riebeck’s banjo from Brittle Hollow. I’m sure they’re fine, but I’ll feel better once I can hear their music.
Day 51: Listened to Chert play for a while today. Unrelated, someone should tell Porphy and Gossan their flirting is not subtle from an aerial perspective.
Day 55: Banjo music coming in loud and clear today! Sounds like Riebeck’s doing okay. That oaf, I was worried!
Day 63: Today I thought I heard something... strange. I don’t know — it was probably nothing.
Day 70: No, it’s back again today, too. Something strange is coming from Timber Hearth.
Day 76: Okay, I know this is crazy, but the sound from Timber Hearth sounds exactly like Feldspar’s harmonica. But Feldspar disappeared in space ages ago. It can’t be them…
Day 88: It’s still here. This is creepy. Maybe my signalscope is broken? I’d better talk to Gneiss.
- It is possible to use only the spacesuit to fly to the moon from Timber Hearth, then fly back to the surface of Timber Hearth.
- There is an achievement that can be unlocked by launching Mica's model rocket, and successfully landing it on the Attlerock.
